Cardiovascular Complications of COVID-19 Vaccination
COVID-19 Vaccines
Abstract
Currently available COVID-19 vaccines may confer several side-effects, including cardiovascular (CV) adverse effects. Among them, perimyocarditis, acute myocardial infarction, arrhythmias and vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT) with multiple vascular beds involved causing cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, splanchnic vein thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, as well as arterial thrombosis, constitute the most worrisome CV complications.
